Welcome to my new blog. I have been gaming since the start of the 80’s and that meant playing on an 8 Bit CPU system. Gaming in the 80’s meant Commodore, Sinclair or Amstrad if you was in the UK. The lack of of ram and graphics power meant clever programming routines, basic graphics but plenty of gameplay. The newly created gaming market meant new genres and styles appeared throughout the 80’s, Gaming magazines promised new titles each month, most of the time they dropped unannounced. Its a period I have fond memories of.
I play retro and modern games, usually following a system. I play everything from 8bit,16bit, 3rd, 4th, 5th gen and current gen.
I’m currently busy playing Arkham Knight on PS4 and enjoying the delights of N64 games I never played first time around. With limited time I tend to limit myself to one or two current gen titles, old systems have the benefit of playing lots of games in a single sitting.
